Balancing the 3 M's...

I LOVE Women of Destiny and all we offer to the women of this world. Even more, I love the opportunities that we are able to give other women as well. What is really amazing to me is being able to hear the stories these ladies share. Today I wish to share with you the heart of a dear friend and woman, Mrs. Dondra Madise is a beautiful woman with a tremendously giving heart (her life goals make me smile), she is a committed wife, mother of 3, my sister and an inspiration to many. ENJOY what she has composed especially for Women of Destiny's Newsletter. Read what she's written and allow the words of her heart to penetrate your soul. God Bless YOU. ~Dee
Balancing MY 3 M's... "As I sit and look at my life, I wonder "how could this be"? How did I get to this place where I look in the mirror and the reflection is not me? As a young girl, I always imagined my life as a FAIRY TALE; I would meet my prince charming and we would travel the globe. I never saw myself as a mother or stay a home mom. I envisioned myself as a business woman with success on every hand. Well life happens and things change; so now I find myself balancing motherhood, marriage and ministry. Motherhood, as rewarding as it is, is very challenging. I often wonder if I'm doing a good job. Also, if my mother was still here would she be proud of me? As in the professional world, we want to be rated, honored, appreciated and recognized it's the same with motherhood. Yes, we have mother's day but sometimes we just need a little more; a daily reminder to keep us pushing and uplifted. Then, there's marriage! The bible calls the woman "A VIRTUOUS WOMAN"; well living to that standard can be difficult. Often wondering, "AM I DOING ALL I SHOULD AS A WIFE?" In the book of Jeremiah, God compares the people of Israel to a bride and groom. When the people turned away from GOD he said it's like when a woman steps outside her married covenant and commits adultery. It confirms to us that God values marriage just as we should. Marriage is work and just as work goes "you have to show up and to the job to get the pay." A marriage will not have success without effort from both partners. Lastly, there's ministry, giving God my daily devotion as I strive to live a Godly life. Studying his word and applying it to my everyday lifestyle is sometimes a struggle. At the end of it all, I realize God is in complete control; my life is not my own. God knows what's best for me and I'm thankful that God knows the inner me, the "me" my eyes can't see. So I say THANK YOU GOD for allowing me to walk in your PERFECT WILL!!! LORD, I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING". The moral to the story is sometimes we have to stop comparing what our life is to what we thought our life would be, learn to be grateful and trust that GOD will never fail you. HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER! Don't waste anymore time thinking back and began to WALK FORWARD. DONDRA MADISE
